Uma Alexandra Beepat is the owner of The Lotus and the Light Metaphysical Center; Formally known as Lotus Wellness Center. The origin of this amazing center started from the basement of Uma's home and over the course of eleven years grew to the thriving center it is today. 

Uma's work is based on the belief that spiritual and metaphysical therapy is ESSENTIAL for your inner peace, spiritual growth and healing. Likewise, metaphysical education is essential for your spiritual unfoldment and evolution.

Uma has been serving the Prince William community for over 11 years and has personally worked in 10,000 client sessions. Her vision, drive and commitment to quality care makes The Lotus and The Light the largest and most popular metaphysical center in the area.

1) What is an intuitive reading?

An intuitive reading varies by each professional but at the core of it, the reader uses their psychic and intuitive skills to tap into the Spirit realm to bring you answers to your most pressing concerns and situation. Readers can use tools such as pendulums, tarot and oracle cards or do a "cold read" where they just tap into the other side and bring through channeled messages for the recipient.

2) Do I need to take my clothes off for Reiki or Energy Healing sessions?
No! Reiki and other energy healing sessions does not require you to undress. In a typical session, you will lie fully clothed on the massage table and the practitioner will move around the table or sit at the head of the table and channel Reiki or energy to you. These sessions are deeply relaxing and can aid in alleviating anxiety, depression or other mental and emotional health symptoms.

3) Why do I need a Spiritual Teacher?
You don't need one, it benefits to have one! Uma talks about mentorship like tuning to a radio channel. If you are trying to find a channel, it may take awhile turning a radio knob back and forth until you get it. With a mentor, they already know where it is and can take you there saving you time and wasted effort. 4) My Sun Sign doesn't describe me, why should I have an astrology chart?
You are more than your sun sign! When you get your astrology chart created, we look at your moon sign, rising and so much more to get a better understanding of your path in life and why you are here.
